
Rimi Sen, famous for her Bollywood films in the early 2000s, is back in the spotlight, this time not for her blockbuster hits but for her switch from the Bollywood film industry to the Dubai Real Estate Market. She has starred in some of Bollywood's most popular movies, but now says she is distancing herself from the film industry and embarking on a new career in real estate in Dubai.
In her recent media interaction with Building Real Estate LLC, Rimi shared the reason for expanding her business in Dubai. She said, "Dubai is very welcoming. About 95% of the population are expatriates, yet everyone feels at home. The city focuses on making life easier and more comfortable for the residents." She showed her excitement for her new venture in Dubai and has high hopes.
To create a sharp contrast between India and the UAE, she added, "Developers do their work, agencies handle their part, and there is a proper system in place.", hinting at the structured process of real estate business in the UAE, and it offers an opportunity to everyone. She states that the Indian market is challenging to understand due to constant policy changes, high taxation, and complex rules and regulations, whereas in Dubai, the laws are clear.
Rimi Sen, birth name Subhamitra Sen, is a former Bollywood actress who has also appeared in some Telugu and Bengali movies. She debuted in 2002 with the Telugu film Nee Thodu Kavali, and after its success, entered the Bollywood industry with another hit, Hungama. For this mega hit, she was nominated for the Filmfare Awards for Best Female Debut. After this, she appeared in Baghban, Dhoom, Garam Masala, Kyon Ki, Deewane Huye Paagal, Phir Hera Pheri, and Golmaal: Fun Unlimited. In 2015, instead of waiting for her comeback in the movie industry, she left and began working as a real estate agent in the UAE.
